I couldn’t let President Biden get away with not mentioning the crisis he created at the Southern Border during his address to Congress, so I forced the media to cover it by wearing the same kind of Mylar blanket that the Biden administration is giving to the record-setting 18,000 unaccompanied minors that came over the border last month. When children are sleeping in tin foil blankets, that’s a crisis.

President Biden took away the American people’s voice when—with the stroke of a pen—he unilaterally locked up our federal lands and targeted our energy jobs. Now, Speaker Pelosi is continuing to silence Americans by refusing to bring my bill, the Protecting American Energy Jobs Act, to the House Floor for a vote.

I’ve missed Colorado from the moment I arrived in Washington this Tuesday, but I am so glad to be here stepping up to defend our state from career politicians and bureaucrats who don’t understand our values or our way of life.

This was a special week, since my entire team, including my Washington D.C. staff, traveled with me throughout the District to hear directly from the people that we are all blessed to serve. We are happy warriors and are honored to be your voice in Congress, advocating for you before federal agencies and creating solutions for the unique challenges rural Colorado faces. Scripture tells us to mourn with those who mourn and reminds us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted. This week has been heavy for our state, and it is a time for grieving and for recognizing heroes like Officer Eric Talley and Denny Stong who gave their lives so that others might live. We will always remember the lives of Kevin Mahoney, Teri Leiker, Rikki Olds, Lynn Murray, Tralona Bartkowiak, Suzanne Fountain, Denny Stong, Jody Waters, Officer Eric Talley, and Neven Stanisic.

Dear Friends, I spent this week defending the people of Colorado’s Third Congressional District from government overreach by career politicians in D.C. Our beautiful District is unique, and I will continue to make sure that our voice is heard and respected.

Dear Friends, I kicked off a busy three-week session of Congress working hard and focusing on representing the hometown values of Colorado’s Third Congressional District. I opposed overreaching legislation threatening the safety of women and girls, wasting our tax dollars bailing out blue states, and seizing 550,000 acres of land in our District.
