Colorado's Third Congressional District comprises 47+% of the entire state of Colorado. 55+% of the District is federal land. Some of the world's best ski resorts and tourism sites are located in the Third District. The District is also home to some of the America's best fishing holes and once in a lifetime big game hunts. For more than 100 years, the town of Palisade has grown tens of thousands of pounds annually of the country's best peaches. 

CO-03 is home to the Bureau of Land Management's Western Headquarters, the second largest shale basin in North America, the largest wind turbine tower manufacturing facility in the world, and some of America's largest mineral deposits.
