As a resident of rural Colorado, I understand the unique challenges that our District faces accessing quality healthcare. Americans feel trapped because healthcare has become so bureaucratic and filled with red tape. I support healthcare reforms that encourage marketplace competition, expand access to health savings accounts, increase patient choices, safeguard individuals with pre-existing conditions, and include rural America. We need to eliminate the useless bureaucracy between you and your doctor.
I submitted a request to the Appropriations Committee to support Community Health Centers. Other than rural hospitals, community health centers are one of the only primary care providers in CO-03 and in rural areas generally. This request was bipartisan and seeks to improve health care accessibility for rural Coloradans.
Additionally, I introduced H.R. 374, the World Health Organization Accountability Act to hold the WHO and China accountable for their failures that contributed to the outbreak of COVID-19.
