It was great to stop by Antler Taxidermy, which was recently honored as Meeker’s business of the month. As a restaurant owner, I know that small businesses are the backbone of Colorado and of our national economy, and I am doing everything I can to help them succeed and create jobs for their local communities.

This Thanksgiving we have a lot to be thankful for. I’m thankful for my family, this country, and those who have fought and sacrificed so much for us to be able to celebrate together with family and friends across Colorado’s 3rd District and this great nation. We have much to be thankful for. America as a nation has endured many hardships, but we have also been blessed beyond measure to call the greatest nation on earth home. For that alone we should be thankful.

Despite what the mainstream media may say, Biden’s $4.9 trillion Build Back Broke Act massively grows government spending, raises taxes by $1.2 trillion, drives our country further into debt, and will continue to increase the highest inflation in over 40 years.

I joined 175 Members of Congress in an amicus brief defending the Second Amendment before the Supreme Court in the case of New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen. For the last century, New York’s mandates have banned Americans from carrying a firearm outside of their home unless a public safety bureaucrat determines they have “proper cause.” I searched the Second Amendment, but I couldn’t find the phrase “proper cause,” all I saw was “shall not be infringed.”

One of the greatest honors of my job is the opportunity to assist brave veterans across Colorado and hear their stories about stepping up to serve their fellow Americans. Recently, my office was contacted by a local Colorado veteran who wanted to answer the call of service and reenlist in the Navy. He was honorably discharged due to medical issues, but he eventually became healthy again and desired to reenlist. Even though his doctor medically cleared him, the Navy initially denied his reenlistment and found him medically disqualified. He then contacted my office for help.

With all the crises America faces, from Afghanistan to the invasion at our southern border, Nancy Pelosi and radical House Democrats passed the so-called “Women’s Health Protection Act” to codify Roe v. Wade and legalize the on-demand murder of preborn children across the country. I was proud to join Students for Life of America in fighting against this radical bill.
