I am fighting for real infrastructure solutions that will benefit rural Colorado. I worked closely with local stakeholders to submit grant support letters for three local priorities, including the Pueblo Medal of Honor Boulevard Extension Project, the Mesa County Orchard Avenue Project, and the I-70 Corridor Resilience and Connectivity Improvements Project. Improving rural transportation in Colorado communities is one of my top priorities in Congress. I’m hopeful the Department of Transportation will give these three projects full and fair consideration.

With the average price of gasoline nationwide currently sitting at $3.35, clearly we must do more to streamline the energy permitting process and encourage responsible energy production. I am thrilled that the TAP American Energy Act includes my bill, H.R. 1067. My bill is important to the people in my District and will help reduce gas prices by providing certainty for energy producers.

The Biden administration is colluding with Green New Deal extremists to slow down energy leasing, clog up the bureaucratic pipeline, and threaten American energy producers with frivolous lawsuits. My American Energy Act cuts red tape to unleash American energy by extending the term of APDs from two years to four years to reduce unnecessary paperwork, ensuring agencies process permits under a valid existing lease regardless of any unrelated civil action, and by prohibiting activist judges from unilaterally vacating valid energy leases. In short, H.R. 1067 will help reduce gas prices by providing certainty for responsible energy production and preventing baseless litigation. With the price at the pump skyrocketing and the international energy market destabilizing, the world needs American energy now more than ever.

Big tech is in bed with the FBI and other agencies to the point where Congress can’t tell where one ends and the other begins. The millions of dollars sent to Twitter that we know of during an election cycle, when they were at the same time censoring the Hunter Biden laptop from hell, is incredibly concerning. My bill, the ELON Act, requires a report from all agencies on federal dollars sent to big tech companies. My legislation also places a one-year moratorium on tax dollars going to big tech companies. We must expose the incestuous relationship between big tech and the federal government. My bill does exactly that.

COVID is over—even Joe Biden admitted it. It is far past time to start undoing the harm that COVID hysteria caused our country, and it starts by reinstating our healthcare workers who should never have been fired for refusing to take the vaccine, requiring federal employees to actually show up to work, and cutting wasteful COVID spending.

The gray wolf is fully recovered, should remain delisted in the lower 48 states, and states should determine how to manage their local gray wolf populations. For too long, farmers and ranchers have been powerless to defend their livestock from gray wolf attacks. The Trust the Science Act empowers states and puts people ahead of violent predators. We need to actually analyze the data objectively instead of letting Endangered Species Act listing decisions be made by leftist activists.

Water, American energy, and holding the Biden administration accountable remain some of my top priorities, and I am thrilled to be a voice for rural Colorado as a member on these critical subcommittees. I will keep working on effective policies to unleash American energy, protect water rights, fight western drought, prevent wildfires, and steward our natural resources in a way that puts rural Colorado first.
