I am excited to get to work defending the individual liberties of the people of Colorado’s Third District by holding the Biden administration accountable. As an advocate for transparency and reform, I will pursue the truth, conduct effective oversight, and fight to root out waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government. I look forward to working with Chairman James Comer and supporting his mission to eliminate mismanagement in the federal government by investigating the border and fentanyl crises, COVID relief fraud, government collusion with big tech to censor Americans, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, the energy crisis, COVID origins, and the Biden family’s shady business schemes.

Americans overwhelmingly reject the Democrats’ extremist views on abortion. However, only one Democrat House Member agreed and voted for the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Additionally, only three Democrats voted to condemn the almost 80 attacks against pro-life pregnancy resource centers that serve underprivileged mothers, connecting them with the services and resources they need while navigating challenging pregnancies.

House Republicans are keeping our promises to the American people by defunding the 87,000 IRS agents put in place by House Democrats last year. The bill is two pages not thousands, it has one subject, and zero earmarks. Also, this bill will help stop the harassment of American citizens by preventing those 87,000 IRS agents from ever being hired. That’s conservative governance at its finest: more freedom, less government—and we are just getting started.

The Biden administration is unlawfully using taxpayer money to transport pregnant, illegal alien children across state lines for late-term abortions. My colleagues and I have introduced bicameral legislation to end these illegal and horrific policies once and for all. Taxpayer money should never fund abortions, whether for citizens or non-citizens. Our priority at the southern border should be security and peace, not death and destruction.

I am honored to be elected to serve on the Republican Policy Committee. I am committed to delivering on the conservative policies we promised the American people. I have a unique opportunity to be a voice for four states, all of whom share Western Conservative values. Being their advocate is a responsibility that I take seriously. I look forward to working with all the Members of the Republican Policy Committee and our colleagues to deliver real solutions.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs’ one-sided decision ignored the critical concerns of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. Instead of addressing the Tribe’s particular concerns regarding reservation land holdings, they gave the Tribe the bureaucratic run-a-round and relied on other irrelevant factors to make their detrimental decision. I am urging the Bureau of Indian Affairs to reconsider its decision.

Mesa County has been waiting more than five years for federal agencies to sell them a parcel of land that federal agencies claim they no longer need and want to sell. Mesa County plans to use this land for economic development in Clifton. Unfortunately, federal officials have dragged their heels and failed to get this commonsense land exchange done. I support Mesa County’s efforts that will facilitate economic growth in an area that needs new opportunities. I’m hopeful we will see some movement in the near future.
