Mesa County has been waiting more than five years for the Bureau of Land Management to sell it a parcel of land that the federal government no longer needs or wants. I introduced the CONVEY Act to cut through the bureaucracy and expedite the process for Mesa County. This land will be used for critical economic development in Clifton that will bring more job creators into Mesa County. I support Mesa County’s efforts that will facilitate economic growth in an area that needs new opportunities. I am grateful for Mesa County and the Bureau of Land Management’s work on this issue, and I look forward to continuing to work with them both as we find a solution.

I am thrilled that the House Committee on Natural Resources trusted the nonpartisan science and passed Rep. Tiffany’s and my bill to finally delist the recovered gray wolf and focus scarce taxpayer funding on endangered species that actually need help recovering. I will never stop advocating for rural Colorado, and I will keep working to protect farmers, ranchers, and their livestock from wolf attacks. The science is clear, the gray wolf is fully recovered, and it is time for the federal government to get out of the way and allow state and tribal wildlife agencies to manage this species.

Ensuring the federal government does all it can to help the community transition during the Pueblo Chemical Depot’s closure is one of my priorities. My Pueblo Jobs Act will prohibit the federal government from cutting corners by requiring the Secretary of the Army to rigorously follow the standard Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process when closing the Pueblo Chemical Depot to provide certainty for the Pueblo economy and foster future job creation.

I am thrilled that the Pueblo Community Health Center received an over $5.1 million grant. These funds will be used to improve public health and serve the Pueblo community. I am working diligently to secure resources that will improve the lives of people across Colorado’s Third District.

Congresswoman Boebert’s office has hosted over 183 mobile office hours in every county in the District, helped over 1,753 people, and returned over $2,458,936.98 to constituents. 

I promised my voters that I would deliver real solutions to the problems they’re facing, and today, the House passed two of my bills and an additional amendment as a part of H.R. 1. My bills will lower energy costs and streamline the process for critical infrastructure projects. Promises made, promises kept. These bills will provide certainty for responsible energy production and transportation while preventing frivolous litigation, all in an effort to make America energy independent once again, reduce gas prices for Coloradans, and allow important infrastructure projects to get done.

My two amendments to H.R. 1 represent the interests of rural Colorado by condemning leftists who killed the Jordan Cove Pipeline and by streamlining critical infrastructure permitting. We need an America first energy policy now, and I am proud that my amendments and two of my bills, the 90-Day Review Act and the American Energy Act, will be included in H.R. 1.

Frivolous litigation should not be a hurdle to critical infrastructure projects that will improve the lives of Americans across the country. For far too long, we have put trial lawyers’ interests ahead of the American people. Burdensome litigation causes our hardworking men and women to sit idle on jobsites as they wait on court processes. This bill will unleash American workers to reach their full potential as they build roads, bridges, railways, and other critical infrastructure projects right here in America.
