The Restoring American Energy Dominance Act, legislation introduced by Congresswoman Boebert in October to block the Biden Administration's proposed Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process rule, has passed the House as part of the Interior Appropriations bill. On July 24, 2023, the BLM issued a proposed rule entitled Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process. The proposed mandate would formally implement provisions from the partisan Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which increased the royalty rate for production on federal lands while also increasing and creating new fees for producers. This proposed rule increases energy production costs while further disincentivizing operators from producing domestically. These new costs will ultimately be passed along to consumers, driving up energy costs for American families and further shifting production to countries like Russia, Saudi Arabia, China, and Venezuela.

Today, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert reintroduced the Protecting Our Kids from Harmful Research Act to prevent the use of taxpayer funds for unethical, experimental gender research on children under the age of 18. Her bill is the House companion to Senator Mike Lee’s bill that was introduced in the Senate. The NIH Sexual and Gender Minorities Research Office (SGMRO) has awarded grant money to four pediatric clinics to study hormonal interventions on children with healthy bodies as young as 8 years old. This means that due to a feeling of discomfort, girls as young as 8 could receive high-dose testosterone solely on the basis of “gender identifying” as a boy. The Biden administration recently renewed and extended this research until 2026.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert introduced H.R. 6009, the Restoring American Energy Dominance Act, to counter the Bureau of Land Management's proposed Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process rule aimed at crippling American energy producers with burdensome costs and regulations. Through overreaching executive orders and unauthorized mandates, the Biden administration has killed good-paying energy jobs in rural America, failed to address high gas prices, reduced access to reliable and affordable energy supplies, and stifled economic growth.
