Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s Office announced mobile office hours in the coming weeks. Congresswoman Boebert’s office has hosted over 233 mobile office hours in every county in the District, helped over 2,716 people, and returned over $5,585,510.31 to constituents.

On Friday, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2024 was officially signed into law by the President. Congresswoman Boebert’s bipartisan Pueblo Jobs Act was a key element of this bill and will create at least 1,000 jobs following the closure of the Pueblo Chemical Depot. This legislation ensures that the federal government adheres to the rigorous Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process under the supervision of the Secretary of the Army. This strategic move provides certainty for Pueblo's economic landscape and fosters the creation of future employment opportunities.

The city of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, has received a $49.68 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for construction of the South Bridge project. The new bridge will be built across the Roaring Fork River, connecting Highway 82 and neighborhoods west of the river near the airport. The project aims to create a second evacuation route for the city's southern corridor residents, ensuring better safety during emergencies, bolstering connectivity, stimulating economic growth, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents in the Lower Colorado River Valley and the Roaring Fork Valley. Congresswoman Boebert has strongly supported the South Bridge project and worked closely with the City to secure funding.

This week, the House and Senate debated and passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2024. Included in the final passage of this bill is Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s Pueblo Jobs Act as well as the largest military pay raise in 20 years. This version of the NDAA has strong bipartisan support and is expected to be signed into law soon. This week, Congresswoman Lauren Boebert introduced H.R. 6547, which will prohibit the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) from locking up 1.6 million acres of land in Colorado. On August 4th, 2023,  the Bureau of Land Management published a draft resource management plan (RMP) for the Colorado River Valley Field Office (CRVFO) and Grand Junction Field Office (GJFO). This plan could remove over 1.6 million acres of public lands in Colorado from future oil and gas leasing and establish nine different "Areas of Critical Environmental Concern" (ACECs) on over 100,000 acres of BLM land. If this proposal were finalized, the entire country would feel its impact. Currently, projections indicate that over 600 wells may be lost by 2043. The implementation of this proposal would further contribute to an increase in that number. Consequently, this escalation is expected to result in higher gas prices and a heightened dependence on OPEC and foreign nations for energy supply.

Today, the House Committee on Natural Resources passed H.R. 6009, the Restoring American Energy Dominance Act, introduced by Congresswoman Lauren Boebert in October. The bill blocks the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM’s) proposed Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process rule. Joe Biden's relentless assault on American energy production has resulted in the loss of good-paying energy jobs, a surge in record-high gas prices, and a stifling effect on economic growth. The proposed Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process Rule would only exacerbate the existing damage by imposing additional burdensome costs and regulations on energy producers already grappling with the repercussions of this administration's assault on American energy.

This week, the House debated H.R. 5894, the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies appropriations bill for Fiscal Year 2024. Included in the base bill were 14 of Congresswoman Boebert’s bipartisan legislative initiatives. The House also passed 11 of Congresswoman Boebert’s amendments to the bill. In the 118th Congress, Congresswoman Boebert has been an extremely effective legislator, focusing on the needs of Colorado’s Third Congressional District and delivering numerous legislative victories. Specifically, five of the Congresswoman’s bills and 65 of her amendments have passed the House. She has also passed seven bills through the House Committee on Natural Resources and the House Committee on Administration.
