ATF wants to make the owners of nearly 40 million firearms with stabilizing braces felons overnight. It defies commonsense that the same unelected bureaucrats who gave away thousands of firearms to members of the Mexican cartels are trying to tell lawful American firearm owners that they can’t carry a pistol with a stabilizing brace without it being classified as a short-barrel rifle and receiving absurd penalties. Veterans that rely on pistol braces to responsibly shoot at the range shouldn’t receive jail time, be fined $250,000, and be issued a felony charge for simply having a stabilizing brace on their lawfully purchased firearm. The U.S. Senate needs to immediately follow the House’s lead and block this unconstitutional gun grab that Congress never authorized.

My bill repeals every gun control provision and Second Amendment infringement passed by the 117th Congress and signed into law. I unapologetically support the Second Amendment. No amount of gun control will ever eliminate evil in our society, and unsurprisingly, the data has shown time and again that gun control does not decrease gun violence. Just look at Chicago or New York, where gun control has created criminal safe havens since evildoers know their victims will be unarmed.

Leftists need to move past political stunts like trying to strip Members of Congress of their Constitutional rights to protect themselves while they sit on the House Committee on Natural Resources and instead address the real issues facing this Committee, like western water, which is so important for rural Colorado.
