Two Rep. Boebert Oversight and Accountability Amendments Pass the House with Unanimous Bipartisan Consent

July 20, 2023

Two of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s amendments to the FAA Reauthorization Act passed the House with unanimous, bipartisan consent via voice vote.

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert(CO-03) stated, “20 for 20 of my amendments have passed the House—19 of which had strong bipartisan support. My record of delivering legislative results for Colorado’s Third District speaks for itself. My two bipartisan amendments that passed the House will increase government transparency by requiring the FAA to make publicly available to the American people a report on the costs and inefficiencies associated with COVID-era-telework and a report on how Green New Deal policies are negatively impacting electric grid resiliency. The American people deserve to see what their tax dollars are going towards, and they have a right to know more about both of these important matters.”

Background:

Congresswoman Boebert’s first amendment to the FAA Reauthorization Act requires the agency to publish on its public website a detailed report on any direct and indirect costs and inefficiencies associated with COVID-era telework policies at the Federal Aviation Administration.

Congresswoman Boebert’s second amendment to the FAA Reauthorization Act requires the agency to publish on its public website a report on future electric grid resiliency so that the American people can see the costs and challenges associated with Green New Deal policies.

Both amendments passed the House with unanimous, bipartisan consent via voice vote. The FAA Reauthorization Act passed the House with strong bipartisan support, 351-69.

Congresswoman Boebert has been an extremely effective legislator in the 118th Congress and has now passed three bills through the House of Representatives with bipartisan support and passed 20 of 20 amendments through the House, 19 of which had strong bipartisan support.
