Two Boebert Amendments to Provide Parents a Say in Education Matters Pass the House

March 24, 2023
Two of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s amendments to the Parents Bill of Rights passed the House with unanimous bipartisan consent. The first amendment requires schools to notify parents if biological males are permitted to participate in women’s sports. The second amendment requires schools to notify parents if biological males are permitted to use women’s restrooms.
Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (CO-03) stated, “We have seen public schools promote extremely divisive content like critical race theory, radical gender ideology, and even drag shows to impressionable young children. Speaking as a mother of four boys, enough is enough. I send my boys to school to receive an education, not indoctrination. Parents have a right to know what’s happening at their child’s school, and my amendments will ensure just that.”
