REP. BOEBERT WELCOMES NEARLY $2.4 MILLION IN VETERANS SUICIDE PREVENTION GRANTS BENEFITTING COLORADO’S 4TH DISTRICT

October 2, 2026

Lone Tree, CO — Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (CO-04) today welcomed nearly $2.4 million in grants from the Department of Veterans Affairs for four organizations benefitting veterans in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District through the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program.

The awards are part of $112 million the VA is distributing nationwide for community suicide prevention. The four organizations are:

  • Rocky Mountain Veterans Advocacy Project — $750,000
  • Veterans Community Project — $748,663
  • Healing Warriors Program — $477,458
  • Eastern Plains Healthcare Consortium — $400,000

“Too many veterans are still lost to suicide, and rural Colorado cannot be an afterthought,” said Rep. Boebert. “These grants put prevention resources where veterans live across the 4th District so the VA meets the men and women who already served this country.”

The Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program funds community groups that reach veterans who may not be enrolled in VA care, including help with mental health, social connection, financial stability, and access to services. Congress authorized the program to expand suicide prevention beyond VA clinics.
