LIFE WINS AT THE SUPREME COURT!
Glory to God for giving the Supreme Court the courage to overturn Roe v. Wade and stand for the right to life! The Justices have suffered assassination attempts, riots outside their homes, and unspeakable insults from the media, but they showed a backbone and made the decision based on the merits of the case instead of politics. Despite 27 Democrats voting against providing them security, they stood for what is right no matter the personal cost.
Their stand for life is inspiring, and it has given compassionate pro-life advocates across the country the courage to go to work at pregnancy resource centers even as they have been firebombed, attacked, and doxed by abortion extremists.
To the millions of Americans that worked for this, prayed for this, and voted for this, thank you.
Even though Roe v. Wade is overturned, the work is not over. The issue of abortion will now return to the legislature. I will use my position in Congress to be a fearless advocate for life, and I will keep working until abortion is unthinkable.
THE SECOND AMENDMENT WINS BIG AT THE SUPREME COURT
The Supreme Court also delivered a huge victory for the Second Amendment. The Supreme Court struck down a gun control law in New York that required citizens to show “proper cause” to get a concealed carry license. It clearly states in the Constitution that the right to bear arms “shall not be infringed.” The ruling also ensures the right of American citizens to carry outside their homes. I filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court arguing just that, and I am incredibly excited that the justices ruled in our favor with this monumental decision.
INTRODUCING THE FUELING AMERICAN PROSPERITY ACT TO LOWER GAS PRICES, RESTORE AMERICAN ENERGY DOMINANCE, AND HOLD BIDEN ACCOUNTABLE
The solution to high gas prices is simple: drill baby drill. We have an abundance of domestic natural resources just waiting to be unleashed. America produces energy cleaner and safer than anyone else in the world. Sadly, the Biden administration decided to unilaterally shut down American energy dominance on day one and we are all paying the price at the pump.
It’s time to restore American energy dominance and reduce gas prices. My bill, the Fueling American Prosperity Act, will get this done by resuming canceled oil and gas leases, requiring the Biden administration to come up with a workable energy leasing plan, and expediting the regulatory process.
If the Biden administration fails to act, my bill will hold them accountable by imposing a hiring freeze at the Department of the Interior. If the American people cannot get affordable energy, the Biden administration should not be able to hire more bureaucrats to create more red tape.
DEFENDING THE SECOND AMENDMENT FROM RINOS AND DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS
When RINOs and Democrats come for the gun rights of law-abiding citizens, I will always fight for the right to bear arms since it is a God-given right. RINOs in the Senate recently passed an unconstitutional gun control package that will use federal taxpayer dollars for gun confiscation orders and implementing red flag laws, stripping gun owners of their due process rights, and creating unnecessary and ineffective waiting periods for certain law-abiding adults who are not otherwise prohibited from purchasing firearms.
Politicians don't grant Americans their rights. It's their duty to secure the rights enumerated in the Constitution.
I was proud to vote NO on this gun control package. I also led the Second Amendment Caucus in a press conference in opposition to this gun grab. Additionally, we discussed the Second Amendment Caucus’ support of Rep. Andrew Clyde’s bill to remove unfair excise taxes limiting Americans’ Second Amendment Rights.
ATTENDING THE REOPENING OF HANGING LAKE TRAIL
This week, I joined Governor Jared Polis, Glenwood Springs Mayor Jonathan Godes, and other local officials for the reopening of Glenwood Springs’ Hanging Lake. After a year-long closure due to mudslides and flooding, Hanging Lake is officially reopened to the public. Hanging Lake is an amazing local treasure for families to visit and was very much missed when it was shut down. I am thrilled that Coloradans will again be able to hike there and enjoy God’s creation.
SUPPORTING THE SOUTH BRIDGE PROJECT IN GLENWOOD SPRINGS
I wrote a letter in strong support of Glenwood Springs’ South Bridge Project to be awarded a competitive Rural Surface Transportation grant to reduce congestion and improve safety and emergency preparedness. With the completion of this project, transportation for Coloradans will be made safer, easier, and more efficient.
This is an important project, so I’ve been working hard with state and local officials to ensure we see it’s a success!
DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILITY FROM DEMOCRATS FOR GIVING ILLEGAL ALIENS OBAMACARE
Democrats in Colorado are requesting a waiver to use tax dollars to give illegal aliens Obamacare. This puts Americans last and gives illegal aliens first-priority over tax-paying American citizens. I joined an effort with Colorado Republicans in Congress in opposing Democrats’ plan to force Colorado taxpayers to pay for Obamacare for illegal aliens. This is just common sense!

Serving the people of Colorado’s Third Congressional District is the greatest honor of my life. If you are having issues with a federal agency or want your voice to be heard, please come to one of our mobile office hours, and a member of my team will be happy to assist you.
My team has already returned over $1,000,000 to constituents, including a few of the following victories:
A couple traveling overseas was separated due to the husband testing positive for COVID. The wife contacted my office for help since her husband was detained at a quarantine facility with unsafe and unsanitary conditions. My office worked with the Department of State to convey emergency instructions to the embassy and help get the husband out of this dangerous situation.
Due to red-tape and staffing issues at the VA—including no one answering the phones—a Silver Star veteran had gone 14 months waiting for an authorization for care. Within days of opening the case, the veteran’s condition turned to an emergency. We were able to escalate the case through the VA-VISN, and stayed in contact with the veteran over the weekend so he could get immediate help.
Farmers raised complaints that the USDA was declining their crop loss insurance claims due to "failure to irrigate" during a drought. My district staff contacted the agency and worked to have the issue resolved so that farmers' claims could be paid.
A Grand Junction small business' EIDL loan was denied by the Small Business Administration (SBA) without justification. My office contacted the SBA to get them to re-look at the case and reverse their decision and grant the EIDL loan and save the small business from going under.
My team will be available to help constituents who aren’t getting answers from federal agencies, like veterans seeking to get the care they earned from the VA, travelers that need expedited assistance to receive a passport on short notice, taxpayers being harassed by the IRS, senior citizens having issues with the Social Security Administration or Medicare, and more.
