Delivering victories for Colorado

NINE BOEBERT WINS FOR COLORADO SIGNED INTO LAW

Nine of my legislative priorities for Colorado were signed into law, including:

  1. $1.74 billion for Community Health Centers to serve rural communities;
  2. $515 million for the Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT) program so rural counties can fund education, law enforcement, and infrastructure;
  3. $48 million for the U.S. Forest Service to address the bark beetle infestations ravaging Colorado and to actively manage our forests;
  4. $10 million for the Indian Irrigation Fund for the benefit of the Southern Ute Tribe;
  5. $1 million to compensate farmers for livestock lost to wolves;
  6. Important pro-life protections like the Hyde and Weldon amendments;
  7. Preventing the greater sage-grouse from being listed as an endangered species;
  8. Securing important federal resources for NASA and Colorado’s space program; and
  9. Exempting livestock haulers from burdensome Department of Transportation electronic logging device mandates.

I am working hard to deliver results for Colorado!

POLL: Gas Prices are Sky-Rocketing! Should we Build the Keystone XL Pipeline to Secure Reliable and Affordable Energy?

AMERICAN ENERGY FIRST

$4 dollar per gallon gas prices are hurting rural Colorado, and we’re seeing a complete unwillingness by Joe Biden to increase production of American oil and gas. While those who live in concrete jungles and sip soy lattes may not feel the pain of filling up a $100 tank of gas, I know many blue-collar Americans simply can’t afford the skyrocketing cost of gas.

It’s time for Congress to listen to the people. 71% of Americans want to restart the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. One of the first bills I introduced in Congress was the Protecting American Energy Jobs Act to build the Keystone XL Pipeline, reverse Biden’s mandate halting energy leasing on federal lands and waters, and protect American energy from future unilateral executive power grabs.

THE UKRAINE ASSISTANCE AND AMERICAN ENERGY ACCELERATION ACT

In response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine, I introduced the Ukraine Assistance and American Energy Acceleration Act to restart the Keystone XL Pipeline, expedite permits for pipelines and natural gas exports so we can export freedom and clean energy around the world, immediately resume oil and gas leasing on federal lands, open a small sliver of ANWR for oil production, and overturn Biden’s bans on pipelines and energy leases. Additionally, my bill includes a real ban on oil and gas imports from Russia, Venezuela, and Iran, effective immediately. Finally, my bill seeks to provide immediate assistance to Ukraine for real military aid and ammo, without using it as a political pawn as Nancy Pelosi did to pass her $1.5 trillion spending bill.

DEFENDING THE SECOND AMENDMENT FROM GOVERNMENT SNOOPING

As the co-chair of the Second Amendment Caucus, I was honored to join Representative Michael Cloud (TX-27) and several of our colleagues in introducing the No REGISTRY Rights Act to ensure the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) deletes their database of nearly 1 BILLION firearm transaction records, a violation of federal law. I stand for privacy for all Americans, including those choosing to exercise their Second Amendment right.

INTRODUCING A BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT TO THE U.S. CONSTITUTION

Everyday Americans are faced with tough decisions on how to balance their checkbooks. Unfortunately, the government shows no such restraint, pummeling all of us with record-setting spending and runaway inflation. Democrats’ spending addiction has fueled the highest inflation increase in more than 40 years. They have already passed bills into law to spend more than $4.5 trillion and are trying to spend at least another $5 trillion this year alone. Every few months, it seems like Congress comes up with another manufactured spending crisis so they can spend more of your hard-earned money. With annual deficits exceeding a trillion dollars and total debt surpassing $30 trillion, now is the time to take action to rein in wasteful government spending. We need a Balanced Budget Amendment to get our fiscal house in order and help tame inflation, not $1.5 trillion bills that are more than 2,700 pages that Members have less than 22 hours to read.

My Balanced Budget Amendment will create constitutional requirements for:

  • Spending not to exceed revenue for a fiscal year;
  • The debt limit not being increased;
  • The president submitting a balanced budget to Congress;
  • All tax increases being passed by two-thirds of both Houses of Congress.

It is time to restore fiscal order.

CONVERSATION WITH YOUR CONGRESSWOMAN

This week, I hosted a Conversation With Your Congresswoman and talked to over 7,000 constituents and answered their questions, gave a legislative update, and spread the word about the constituent services my team offers, including helping veterans receive VA benefits and assisting other constituents with federal agencies.

During the call, I heard what you think about the important issues facing our country. As promised, here are the results of the poll questions:

REP. BOEBERT’S PROHIBITION OF FUNDING TO LIST THE GREATER SAGE-GROUSE AS AN ENDANGERED SPECIES SIGNED INTO LAW

The Biden regime’s greater sage-grouse conservation plan amendments are not about saving a mediocre bird—rather, they are about locking up tens of millions of acres of land from energy development and other multiple-use activities. Now more than ever, we need American energy. I am grateful that my provision prohibiting funding to list the greater sage-grouse as an endangered species was signed into law, preventing extremist environmentalists from further politicizing the greater sage-grouse to lock up more American energy. American energy is the keystone of American freedom.

I am committed to protecting property rights for farmers, ranchers, families, and businesses across Colorado.

Colorado Newsline, Republicans in Congress file suit to end mask mandate for air travel

“‘In honor of the TWO-YEAR ANNIVERSARY of 15 Days To Slow The Spread, I’ve joined 16 of my colleagues in suing the CDC to END the mask mandate on airplanes,’ Boebert tweeted. ‘It should be a personal choice, not an unscientific mandate!’”

The Gazette, U.S. Senate says 'yes' to permanent daylight saving time as Colorado mulls change

“Are you ready to stop changing the clocks twice a year and not lose an hour of sleep every March? … HR 69, is awaiting action in the U.S. House. Sponsored by Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-Fla., the bill … has 33 co-sponsors, including … Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Silt.”

UPCOMING MOBILE OFFICE HOURS

Serving the people of Colorado’s Third Congressional District is the greatest honor of my life. If you are having issues with a federal agency or want your voice to be heard, please come to one of our mobile office hours, and a member of my team will be happy to assist you.

My team will be available to help constituents who aren’t getting answers from federal agencies, like veterans seeking to get the care they earned from the VA, travelers that need expedited assistance to receive a passport on short notice, taxpayers being harassed by the IRS, and senior citizens having issues with the Social Security Administration or Medicare. Additionally, constituents are invited to come to the office hours to express their viewpoints on legislative issues or request special Congressional Commendations from the Congresswoman recognizing outstanding public achievements.
